The Parents Council Ambassadors

Committees

The Parents Council Volunteer/Membership Committee

  • Organize regional membership drives.
  • Organize all volunteers and contact information.
  • Volunteer to work CNU Open Houses, Admitted Freshman Day, High School Counselor Days, Freshman Orientations and Freshman Move-In.
  • Volunteer at other Admissions events and at Student Activities events.
  • Contact parents that are interested in volunteering.
  • Prepare introduction packets for new members.
  • Serve as an ambassador to the Office of Admissions and the Office of Student Activities both on and off the campus.
  • Assist the University with related matters as appropriate.

The Parents Council Development Committee

  • Organize the Parents Annual Fund Drive.
  • Solicit assigned parents for their annual gift to the Parents Annual Fund Drive.
  • Enlist volunteers to make personal visits and phone calls to prospective donors.
  • Serve as an ambassador to the Office of University Advancement both on and off the campus.
  • Assist the University with related matters as appropriate.

The Parents Council Career Development Committee

  • Develop a regional system of pairing parent mentors with CNU students interested in the same career field.
  • Schedule volunteers to work at Career Fair Days.
  • Compile a list of volunteers and contact information of people that are willing to volunteer at Career Development events.
  • Compile a list of regional members that work for matching gift companies.
  • Serve as an ambassador to the Office of Career Development both on and off the campus.
  • Assist the University with related matters as appropriate.

The Parents Council Program Committee

  • Build a relationship with the regional respective alumni chapter counterpart to host events, educate and create awareness of the University.
  • Create and maintain an updated roster of University speakers and higher education programs.
  • Identify and implement other higher education speaker/program ideas.
  • Serve as an ambassador to the Office of Student Activities and University Advancement.
  • Assist the University with related matters as appropriate.
